Brian Wines, a delightful Tasmanian venture, began in 2012 when esteemed winemakers Joe Holyman, Peter Dredge (affectionately known as Dredgey), and renowned wine writer Mike Bennie joined forces.
The trio, inspired by their shared passions for the weird and wonderful in the world of wine, wanted to make something that would add a dash of technicolour to the Tasmanian wine tapestry. And so, the unique and uniquely delicious range of small-batch, natural wines known as Brian was born.
Producing cheeky 375ml bottles bursting with funk, these wines have garnered a cult following and consistently sell out swiftly. All fruit is hand-picked, undergoes wild fermentation, and sees no additions, filtering, or fining, with minimal sulfur usage.
These are funky drops designed for good times. And if you're lucky, you might find a bottle of the Brian USA project that Mike and Dredge produced in Oregon alongside Dredge's Dr. Edge USA project.
