The cooler site that the Sorrenberg vineyard occupies produces Chardonnay of immense flavour and impact. Winemaker Barry Morey gently builds layers of power and complexity through 100% barrel fermentation in an astute mixture of new and used oak.

"There’s something special happening here. It’s the easy start, then the build of texture, then the compact finish. Quite unlike many chardonnay wines, it doesn’t flow in a regal sense. There’s also quite a bit of nougat, vanilla wafer, light toffee elements, a thick wash of salted cashew and then you start to work out that Golden Delicious apple juice, green pineapple, peachy swishes, watermelon rind, ginger, toasty cinnamon and little dashes of white pepper sit in the mix. It’s a flavoursome chardonnay, but also feels effortless and fine, even with its more generous persona. A wine to sit back and relax with, and enjoy all the elements unfurling. Eighteen months to two years is the zone, me thinks, but will go a little further."

2023 Leeuwin Art Series Chardonnay
This is arguably Australia's most iconic Chardonnay. For decades, this Margaret River legend has been in a league of its own - a Grand Cru of the Southern Hemisphere, capable of standing alongside the world’s finest white wines. The 2023 release is one of the most decorated in recent memory, a near-perfect harvest at Leeuwin delivering power, complexity, and deft balance.
The fruit is hand-harvested, cooled, and partially whole-bunch pressed before undergoing 100% barrel fermentation in new French oak. Regular lees stirring builds texture and depth, and after 11 months in barrel, the wine is blended and bottled without compromise.
The nose is intense and layered - nashi pear, finger lime, and lemon curd, lifted by white florals, brioche, and sesame praline. The palate is pure and precise, unfolding with waves of nectarine, white peach, and citrus zest, laced with graphite minerality, gentle spice, and a fine chalky finish. The acidity is vibrant yet refined, giving the wine tension, length, and serious ageing potential.
A benchmark Australian Chardonnay, and, by the reviewers' reports, one that's destined to go down as one of the best ever from this prestigious address.

2024 Tolpuddle Vineyard Chardonnay

2025 Patrick Sullivan Ada River Chardonnay
Pat Sullivan’s work in the foothills of Mount Baw Baw is some of the most exciting Chardonnay winemaking in the country right now. The Ada River site is a tiny, one-hectare patch of dry-grown vines planted back in 1982. Sitting at 300m elevation on deep, red volcanic soils, it’s protected from the harsh snowfield winds by 360-degree windbreaks, allowing the fruit to develop incredible concentration without losing its cool-climate nerve.
The 2025 is a wine of real authority. It leads with white peach and citrus zest, but there’s a sophisticated savoury edge - think toasted hazelnut and a flicker of delicate spice. Pat gave this 10 months in barrique with 30% new oak, and while that provides a sturdy frame, it’s the volcanic "crunch" and mineral drive that defines the finish. This is about fruit, first and foremost, the oak a secondary player.
It’s a powerful Chardonnay that manages to stay bright and fresh. We’ve always loved how Pat lets these Gippsland sites speak for themselves, and the Ada River feels particularly settled and commanding this year. This is arguably one of the most exciting Chardonnays to enter the upper echelon of Australian wine in the past decade.

Generous in fruit with ripe citrus, white stone fruits, and a whisper of almond meal, all wrapped around a spine of fine, saline acidity. Fantastic energy and tension through the palate.

2023 Murdoch Hill Rocket Chardonnay
The Rocket started as an accident - one rogue ferment that took off with more energy than the rest. Michael Downer liked where it went, so he bottled it separately, and a new cuvée was born. Since then, The Rocket has become one of the most distinct expressions in Murdoch Hill’s Artisan range - a Chardonnay that leans hard into precision, drive, and the edgier side of the Adelaide Hills.
The fruit comes from Lenswood, a high, cool site that gives the wine its cut and linearity. Downer runs with it - wild ferment, full malo, careful solids work, and some well-judged oak. There’s plenty of texture, but the wine never feels heavy. Instead, it’s tightly wound, flinty, and full of quiet tension. The 2023 release carries that signature grip and focus, shaped by a long, cool vintage that suited the style to a tee.
It’s a wine for those who like their Chardonnay coiled and contemplative, with a few rough edges in the best possible way.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.
What that means for you:
- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate
Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.
