Six deliciously decadent reds that offer the perfect introduction into the world-famous Malbecs of Argentina.
The 'La Posta' series of wines is Laura Catena's passion project to celebrate the small artisan growers of Mendoza - each wine is named after the grower, such as this perfect everyday Malbec that was grown by Angel Paulucci.
‘La Posta’ is the name of the local taverns where growers and farmers gather to share a glass of wine, tell stories and exchange ideas, and indulge their passion for great regional produce.
This one of our favourite Argentinian Malbecs - full-bodied and opulent as you'd expect from this variety, but delivered with balance and restraint.
A deliciously approachable Argentinian Malbec and terrific value!
This bold, beautiful Malbec comes from the original family-owned winery of the Mendoza region.
Knowledge of the grapes, soils and turns in the season have been passed down over four generations of the Arizu family, culminating in what is today considered one of the region's most prestigious labels.
This La Linda Malbec comes from vineyards in the northern tip of the D.O.C. area. It shows the deep, thumping base notes and impenetrable colour that are the signatures of the region.
If you're looking for that classic Argentinian Malbec hit, this would be a very good place to start.
Big red lovers, you're on to a winner here.
This is an opulent, ultra-smooth Malbec from a vineyard almost 1000m above sea level, in the iconic region of Mendoza.
An Italian family from Piedmonte is behind the wine. Having immigrated in the 19th century, the Cassones established a modern premium winery in the south-west of the region.
Combining this great old vine fruit with modern, polished winemaking techniques allows current owner Eduardo Cassone to produce powerful yet approachable wines that do great justice to the terroir they come from.
Ernesto Catena’s Padrillos Malbec is a great way into the world of Mendoza reds - generous, smooth, and made for easy drinking. The fruit comes from organically farmed vineyards in the Uco Valley, and while this is a simple wine in all the right ways, it still shows the care and personality behind it.
Padrillos, meaning “stallions”, is a nod to Ernesto’s polo background and his laid-back approach to making wine that’s full of life. This Malbec is all about ripe red and dark fruits, with a little herbal twist and just enough tannin to keep things tidy. It’s soft, savoury and super versatile - built for relaxed nights in or casual dinners with friends.
There’s no heavy oak or overextraction here, just bright fruit, good texture and a clean finish. A lovely mid-week red that punches well above its price tag.
The historic Bodega Colome has been one of the driving forces in the worldwide growth of Malbec, in many thanks to brilliantly-priced quality wines such as this.
Established in 1831 in Salta’s Upper Calchaqui Valley, this region boasts some of the world's highest vineyards, from 2,300 to 3,311 meters above sea level.
Crafted from four distinct high-altitude vineyards, this Malbec showcases Argentina's diverse terroir. “La Brava” (1,700 masl) offers ripe fruit intensity, “Colomé” (2,300 masl) adds complexity, “El Arenal” (2,700 masl) lends elegance, and “Altura Máxima” (3,100 masl) contributes floral notes and fine tannins.
Drinking this wine is like floating through a velvet fog. Expect bright aromas of blackberries and exotic flowers, leading to a palate of rich black fruit, spiced oak, and hints of pepper. Its fresh acidity and bold tannins reflect the alpine freshness typical of high-altitude Argentine Malbec.
Produced from 100% biodynamic vineyards, it's plush, smooth and silky to drink. An excellent value full-bodied red from one of Argentina's most respected labels.
When it comes to Malbec in Mendoza, there’s Catena Zapata and then there’s everyone else. The Catena family has spent four generations mastering high-altitude viticulture, and the results speak for themselves in this beautifully expressive wine.
This Malbec captures the full breadth of Argentina's rugged mountain terroir, sourced from a trio of Mendoza’s top sites, including Lunlunta, El Cepillo, and Gualtallary. Hand-harvested from old vines grown on rocky, limestone-rich soils, the fruit sees a cool fermentation and gentle handling to lock in its natural vibrancy. Maturation in French oak for 11–13 months polishes the wine without dulling its wild heart.
The 2023 vintage brings plush layers of black cherry, plum and violet, framed by fine tannins and a lick of fresh acidity that keeps everything light on its feet. It’s generous without being heavy, structured without being rigid, it's textbook Catena.
An absolute benchmark for great value Mendoza Malbec, offering both immediate drinkability and the pedigree to reward cellaring for a decade or more.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.
No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.
What that means for you:
- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate
Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.
**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.
If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
We’d love to help you out! Email is usually best but if it’s something urgent or you just really want to have a yarn about wine, food, or even the meaning of life, give us a call — we’re here for you.
