Description
The Zenit (German for "Zenith") is a "super Riesling" of sorts - the best bits of fruit John and Belinda Hughes get access to each vintage from both the Eden and Clare Valleys, blended to put the quality of the year on full display.
There is precious little of this wine available. The 2026 blend is 80% Eden Valley and 20% Clare Valley, drawn from two standout sites of the vintage - the Kosi & Kiwi vineyard grown by Ben Zander in Flaxman Valley, and the Sandow family vineyard in Watervale. It's a wine that harmonises the slick precision and heady perfume of Flaxman Valley with the elegance and silky texture of Watervale.
It's exquisitely perfumed from the first pour - fresh citrus and orchard fruit with a delicate floral, talc-like lift - and the palate follows through with real precision. There's a soft, velvety texture to it, wrapped around a core of crackling acidity that just keeps carrying on. This is the wine that shows exactly what happens when you take the best parcels from two different regions and let them talk to each other.
Dry, tightly wound, immaculately balanced and meant to be a standard bearer for all South Australian Rieslings. It will live forever in the cellar yet has the depth and intensity to drink brilliantly right now. This is John and Belinda's finest classic Riesling release each year, made in the tiniest quantities - not to be missed, but you'll need to swoop quick.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.
What that means for you:
- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate
Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.
**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.
If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
