Description
Hamish Young’s Nebbiolo Rosé has always been one of our favourite Aussie rosés.
It comes from the Mullany Family Vineyard in Wombat, near Young – a dry, inland site with old red soils over shale and granite. The vines were planted back in the mid-’90s, and they turn out Nebbiolo with plenty of flavour and crunch, perfect for Hamish’s stripped-back, textural approach to rosé.
This year, he kept a few of the firmer pressings in the mix for extra structure, balancing the wine’s bright acidity with just a touch of grip. The juice was split across stainless steel, old French oak and a small portion of whole-berry ferment, adding layers without losing freshness.
The result is lively and moreish – think watermelon, white peach and a hint of orange peel, with a dry, slightly savoury finish. It’s crisp but not simple, carrying a bit more texture and detail than your usual summer pink.

Although wine drinkers for many years, we are new to Different Drop and love all the new unfamiliar winemakers showcased. Rose's are my "go to" for summer drinking and am really enjoying such a different selection. Pale in colour and very refined, this rose definitely lives up to the website notes. My husband is not normally a rose drinker but once tasted the bottle didn't last long! We thoroughly enjoyed this very smooth, delicious rose!

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.
No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
