Description

Josh Cooper doesn't treat rosé as an afterthought. Inspired by the serious, age-worthy wines of Southern France - think Domaine Tempier or Clos Cibonne - this is a textural, structured take on the style. It is an interesting blend of Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon, which he ferments in large old French oak and ages on its lees for 11 months to build genuine depth.

It pours a pale, orangey-salmon in the glass. The nose brings out raspberry, cranberry, and green almond, alongside a nice hit of white pepper and stony minerality. When you take a sip, it strikes a great balance. It is crisp and fresh, but carries a creamy, lees-driven richness and fine, feathery tannins that give it a proper savoury edge.

This isn't just a simple summer drink to serve ice-cold and forget about. It is a fantastic food wine that has the detail to stand up to a serious meal, and it will easily build more spice and complexity if you decide to lose it in the cellar for a few years.

"Good depth and squishy, slick texture on hand. It feels fuller figured in the rosé landscape but has the requisite sense of freshness and drinkability too... Delightful. Utterly."

94 points - "Good depth and squishy, slick texture on hand. It feels fuller figured in the rosé landscape but has the requisite sense of freshness and drinkability too. Peach, soft cherry, washy cranberry notes, a touch of blood orange, green almond and wet fern in the perfume and palate. Great length of flavour, a subtle shimmy of succulent tannin too. Delightful. Utterly." - Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)

Excellent

Ordering more as we speak. Really in the style of the old French Provençal classics. If you like a more complex rose go for this.

Inspired by the great, age-worthy and serious rosé wines of the south of France (Clos Cibonne, Chateau Simon and Domaine Tempier), our interpretation is barrel fermented in large old French oak, then lees aged for 11 months, creating a wine of freshness, depth, complexity and character.

A blend of Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Orangey salmon in colour, it offers exuberant aromatics of raspberry, cranberry, green almond, peppery spice and a subtle stoney complexity. The palate is crisp, yet concentrated, full of bright, spicy red berry fruit, creamy, lees-derived complexity and feathery tannins adding structure and savouriness.

A wonderful food wine, and one that will also gain in complexity in the medium term.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
