Description

Young Josh Cooper grew up surrounded by Pinot Noir at his parents' Cobaw Ridge estate in the Macedon Ranges. That kind of lifelong familiarity really shows in the way he handles the grape today. His Regional Release Pinot Noir is a great, relaxed introduction to his site-driven approach. Made with the same attention to detail as his top-tier single-vineyard wines, this release is sourced from the exposed granite soils of Dash Farms.

It pours a bright ruby red and opens up easily with dark cherry, black raspberry, and woody herbs, backed by a subtle, smoky flintiness. On the palate, you get plenty of plump red fruit and savoury spice. It is framed by fresh acidity and fine, powdery tannins that give it a nice structural backbone without making it heavy or demanding.

It is the kind of Pinot that is open and delicious to drink right now, making it an easy choice for a very good weekday bottle, but it has more than enough shape to sit in the cellar for a few years if you want to see how it evolves.

Takes a bit of getting use to , but evolves as the night progresses

Produced in much the same style as our well-known ‘Doug’s Vineyard’ cuveé, though hailing from the exposed granite soils of Dash Farms.

Bright ruby red, and immediately inviting, dark red cherry, exotic spices and woody herb aromatics fill the glass, with a subtle flinty, smoky complexity. The palate as is usual for our style is full of plump red cherry and spicy complexity, structured by fresh acid and fine, powdery tannins which lend plenty of seriousness to this early release wine.

Open and appealing at present, this Pinot Noir will also reward medium term cellaring with additional complexity and nuance. A wonderful weekday wine, or introduction to our style.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
