This Nebbiolo Rosé is one of the best examples of the style coming out of Beechworth. It regularly gets called out as one of the country's leading rosés, and for good reason.
There is precious little Nebbiolo planted on the Domenica vineyard, making this release incredibly limited. Graham takes select parcels of this fruit and ferments them in neutral barrels, allowing some solids to come along for the ride. It's a deliberate choice that builds real weight and texture into the wine.
Pete wants a Rosé with serious backbone and drive. It leads with a savoury profile rather than simple, sweet fruit. On the palate, that barrel fermentation gives it a lush, mouth-filling texture that is pulled tightly together by a refreshing line of acidity.
If you're looking for a highly drinkable but serious, food-friendly style of Rosé, this is exactly what you want.

Perhaps that doesn’t do it justice… I saw recently a new wine bar in Sydney have put this on by the glass- big accolade by their somm who rates this as “..everything you want..” And it is. It’s bright, fruit forward, even playful up front. But as you move through the glass you discover the finely structured palate doing things normally reserved for more expensive wines. This is easy and delicious to drink while offering heaps of class for those looking for it.
