Description

This is Mike De Iuliis’ idea of the perfect knock-off rosé - dry, crisp, and ready to go as soon as it’s out of the fridge. Made from Shiraz and Merlot off the family’s Hunter Valley vineyard, it’s crafted with a light hand and meant for drinking, not overthinking.

The 2025 vintage was warm and fast-paced, but the fruit came in clean and full of flavour. A quick press and cool ferment have kept things bright and fresh, with just enough texture to make it feel grown-up. No sugar, no fuss - just a properly dry pink wine that’s as happy at a long lunch as it is on a sunny arvo with a few mates and a plate of charcuterie.

It’s not trying to be fancy. It’s just a really good rosé made by someone who loves to drink it.

    Outstanding Rose

    This is the second time I’ve had their rose with this blend and its bloody brilliant. Had a rose of theirs with a singe variety in the past and it was nice but not the same. At the price this is massive a winner. Matched it with a Provençal style lamb stew and happy days!

The Wine
The 2025 Estate Rosé presents with a charming cotton candy hue and is crafted using a short skin-contact fermentation. The glass bursts with aromas of strawberry and peaches and cream, followed by a vibrant, fruit-forward palate of strawberry and raspberry, elevated by a refreshing line of acidity.

The Vintage
The 2025 vintage, marked by hot, dry weather, compressed harvest into just four weeks. Despite the pressure, the season delivered outstanding fruit quality. The dry conditions allowed the vines to thrive—an ideal scenario for our small-batch, family-led winemaking approach.

De Iuliis

De Iuliis - pronounced [de uli ~ iss] - is one of the brightest stars from the Hunter Valley.

Owners Joss and Anna De luliis first planted vines on their estate in the famous Lovedale sub-region back in 1990, but it wasn’t until their son Mike got involved after graduating from the world-renowned Roseworthy campus (Adelaide University) in 1999 that things really took off.

Today Mike crafts an excellent array of site-specific wines that are a very good modern representation of what the Hunter Valley has to offer.
