Description

Treinta y Dos comes from a remarkable vineyard in Mainqué, Patagonia - planted in 1932, ungrafted, and farmed organically and biodynamically. When Piero Incisa della Rocchetta found the site in 2003, it was in decline. He restored it vine by vine, and it’s now the flagship of Bodega Chacra and one of the most respected Pinot Noir vineyards in the Southern Hemisphere.

The 2025 is fermented naturally, with ageing split 45/55% between concrete and seasoned French oak. It remains the most structured wine in the Chacra range, matured longer than the rest of the cuvées, yet still carries the lifted perfume and mineral thread that define the estate. It's absolutely built to age but it's also balanced and open enough todrink on release.

Allocation on this wine are always tiny, and demand well outstrips supply - this is one of Patagonia’s benchmark reds, and a reference point for Pinot Noir outside Europe.

98 points
"The aromas of this red are rather endless, with rose petals, rose stems, strawberries, sliced oranges, crabapples and hints of white pepper and peaches. Medium-bodied with depth of fruit, intensity and crushed stone flavors. Linear, racy and vibrant, with brightness and energetic length. From vineyards planted in 1932. 11.2% alcohol. Drink or hold."

Customer Reviews

This Pinot is one of the greatest representations of terroir in the world. From old vineyards planted in 1932 on a land layered with clay, sand and pebbles. The structure of this wine lends itself to age, and as such is matured for longer than the rest of the cuveés in a blend of conrete and seasoned French oak (45/55% split).

Bodega Chacra

Bodega Chacra is located in the Rio Negro Valley of northern Patagonia, in the dead centre of Argentina.

Founded in 2003 by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta - the grandson of Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, creator of Sassacaia, one of the monuments of Italian wine. After trying a Patagonian Pinot at a tasting in NYC, Piero began searching for site in the Rio Negro region, a search that bore fruit in the Mainque area. He took over a site with ungrafted vines dating back to 1932, and the development of a world class winery too shape, with a focus on organic and biodynamic viticulture.

He brought legendary Meursault producer Jean-Marc Roulot on board to aid in the planting and vinification of Chardonnay - not a bad advisor! Piero's dedication to producing outstanding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay was rewarded when Chacra Treinta y Dos Pinot 2018 was named Best Wine in the World by James Suckling.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
