Description

The Vin de Soif is a wine built for casual easy drinking.

It combines old vine Grenache, Mataro and a little splash of Cinsault from the Barossa Valley into a slurpable, sloshy wine that makes it a perfect match with a wide array of foods.

It's plump and plush, dusted with fine, moreish tannin and incredibly easy to knock back out of tumblers.

It's the kind of wine that would be perfect for sipping around a campfire in the dead of winter... or just whenever you want to do more drinking and less thinking.

92 points - "Well it does what it says on the label (albeit in French) and offers juicy jolly drinking with some complexity built in. Cherry and raspberry, orange peel, some floral notes, quite a bit of bunchy spice. It’s kind of sappy and tangy, but in a nice way, light emery tannin, crisp, with some blood orange and red fruits closing out a finish of good length." - Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)

92 points - "This year sees a blend of 64/18/18% grenache/cinsault/mataro. It does exactly what it says, providing thirst-slaking, lively drinking with little artefact to ponder on outside of big decisions, such as whether it needs a slight chill in the fridge and who you should be sharing the bottle with. Juicy, spicy plum, dark cherry and raspberry fruits, dried citrus rinds and blossoms, a whiff of twiggy amaro stuff, a fine cloud of spice and an expression of citrus oil. Very easy drinking, this one." - Dave Brookes (Halliday Wine Companion)

Customer Reviews

An unashamedly bright, drink-now red with serious roots. This blend is built around declassified Grenache parcels from our single-vineyard program, blended with small components of Cinsault and Mourvèdre to amplify lift, perfume, and texture. We set out to craft a wine where Grenache could shine on its own terms, without the density or weight of Shiraz. The result is a light-footed, midweek-friendly red that still carries depth, detail, and a whisper of savoury complexity. Wild-fermented, gently handled, and raised without heavy oak, the 2024 release shows red cherry, raspberry compote, dried herbs, and a fine dusting of spice. Juicy, refreshing and dangerously moreish, served slightly chilled or just as is, this is Barossa with a wink.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
