There’s a lot of impact aromatically thanks to good concentration and balance. The palate is fresh and precise in its fruit profile which mirrors the nose, cascading through the mouth with intensity and drive. 94 points - "A refined, concentrated Chardonnay from another cool year in the Adelaide Hills, one of five consecutive cool vintages in a row. A cool site in a cool year brings its own form of elegance, one that is both harmonious and restrained. There’s an edge of orange skin and cumquat on the aroma with citrus, nectarine, baked quince with grilled nuts. It is most inviting. The palate is laid out flinty bright and fruit-filled with an even, warm texture, good length and acid drive. 94 points - "The Piccadilly Valley is ‘entry’ level for this exquisite range of Chardonnay. 2024 another cool vintage like the 4 before it, but marginally warmer with a modest crop of 4 tonnes per hectare on the 30 year old vines.

Medium-light straw with green highlights. Layered and complex. White chocolate, green apple, white nectarine, just dried fig, smoked chicken breast, peanut oil, pineapple skin, grapefruit pith, hints of sourdough and refined toastiness. Flesh and intensity. Layered with class and precision. Juicy acidity the skeletal elements running through that slightly warmer vintage richness. 94 points - "From a cool vintage, although not as cool as the ’23. This is a delightful chardonnay from the Piccadilly Valley with a vibrant freshness and energy which is complemented by the subtle stone fruit characters. Fine savoury notes with lemony chalky characters that balanced the beautifully pristine fruit. The finish is dry and slightly savoury. The full ripening of a small crop in perfect cool, dry and sunny conditions, has again defined a very special Chardonnay, predominately from Pat and Ted’s Vineyard on Mount Bonython and two other vineyards in the distinguished Piccadilly Valley terroir. The 2024 Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay has a mesmerising green-yellow colour. The terroir distinctive apple, nectarine and floral aromas also have a hint of exotic fig and spice. The flavours are intense, the texture significant and the cool year acid is apparent in a cleansing finish.

The aroma is very fresh and ripe fruit-flavoured. The flavours are of sweet fruit balanced against the significant cool year acid and grapefruit finish. This is a very special wine, the product of another cool vintage.
