Description
Vinegarden is a new addition to the Phase Three line-up, though the vines themselves are anything but new. Planted around 1895 in the Eden Valley, this block of Ancestor vines has been on Ben Kelley’s radar for years. After plenty of time spent building local connections – from the CFS to the “B Grade” cricket side – he finally managed to secure some fruit. In 2023 it played a big role in Dero, but from 2024 there was enough to bottle it on its own without compromise.
The label carries a nice touch of history too – it features the old Eden Valley welcome sign that greeted the family on their first visit. The actual sign now stands at the gate to the Vinegarden block, so it felt only right to put it on the bottle.
The fruit was picked in three passes across five weeks, ranging from 11.8 to 14.5 Baume, to capture different expressions of the site. Fermented separately then brought together, the result is a wine that carries both intensity and finesse, showing off what 130 years of vine age can do with very little intervention. Just 622 bottles filled.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

Our warehouse is automated so unless you tell us otherwise, we will ship your order.
