Ocean Eight's Mike Aylward was one of the pioneers of a more 'serious' style of Pinot Gris in Australia.
This wine is picked first and foremost with acidity in mind. With acid providing a scaffolding to the wine, Mike is able to build texture through time on lees and time in barrel to create a fuller-bodied, more complex style of Gris.
It's not an overly unctuous style, but there's plenty of flavour that takes a hold of you.
This is a class act and one of the many reasons that most consider Mornington Peninsula the epicentre of great Pinot Gris in Australia.

We have been purchasing wine from Different Drop for a few years and always found that the selection of wines we enjoy are generally available at very competitive prices. The last purchase was 2 thirds of the price of the cellar door and still cheaper that buying through the vineyard wine club. Will always compare prices with Different Drop for the best value.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.
No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
