Description

Inspired by the dry, textured rosés of Italy, the Luminoso is a far cry from the simple, fruit-bombs often found on the shelves here in Aus. It is primarily built around Nero d’Avola and Sangiovese, picked early specifically to lock in that crucial natural acidity.

The 2024 release spent up to eight months on full lees in seasoned French oak, with regular stirring to build texture. It’s a grown-up style that shifts the focus toward savoury complexity. You'll find pale pink and orange hues in the glass, with a profile that leans into redcurrant, wild strawberry, and a distinct touch of almond and earth.

It’s bone-dry and bright, moving through the palate with a light spice and a creamy finish. We love how this wine manages to be incredibly refreshing while still having enough stuffing to stand up to food. Serve it nicely chilled and don't be afraid to pair it with something salty.

"Very Italian in feel, from the name (Italian for 'bright') to the use of nero d'Avola and sangiovese grapes, through to the dry, savoury appeal of the wine itself. Not only refreshing, but takes rosé into some sophisticated wine territory..."

96 points - "Very Italian in feel, from the name (Italian for 'bright') to the use of nero d'Avola and sangiovese grapes, through to the dry, savoury appeal of the wine itself. Not only refreshing, but takes rosé into some sophisticated wine territory. Pale pinkish/orange hues and aromas that bring the musky floral with the savoury in redcurrant, cherry, wild strawberry, earth, acacia and almond. A textural, dry style that moves away from the simply fruity into wild red fruits, light spice, earth and almond verging on the marzipan, and does it so very well." - Jeni Port (Halliday Wine Companion)

Customer Reviews

Inspired by the wines of Europe our Luminoso Rosé is all about savoury texture whilst retaining the fresh line of the natural acidity preserved through early picking.

A dry savoury Rosé made predominantly from the Sicilian red grape Nero d’Avola. Grapes for this wine are picked early for the sole purpose of making Rosé, picking early ensures the natural acidity in the grapes is retained, key to making a refreshing Rosé.

The juice is fermented cool to retain freshness and spends up to 6- 8 months on full less in seasoned French oak to build texture. Some stirring is undertaken to create a bright yet textural style of Rosé.

Serve nicely chilled!

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
