Description

Dalrymple’s 2024 Pinot is a "best of" Tasmania blend, pulling together the bright, high-acid fruit of Pipers River in the north with the plusher, sun-ripened parcels of the Coal River Valley. It’s a clever strategy that gives you the best of the island: plenty of aromatic nerve backed by enough fleshy fruit to keep it satisfying.

The winemaking is hands-on but subtle. About 15% whole bunches are included in the ferment to add a bit of savory, herbal lift, followed by nine months in French oak to round out the tannins. It’s a composed red that focuses on freshness and regional character rather than heavy oak or over-extraction.

In the glass, it’s all wild blackberry and red cherry with a hit of cool-climate spice. The acidity is classic Tassie—crisp and crunchy—making it an easy win for the dinner table. If you're looking for a reliable, high-fidelity Pinot that shows exactly what the island is about, this is a great place to start.

Tasting Note
Initial aromas of fresh cranberries, toasted spice and ripe tamarillo. These aromas are enhanced with earthy notes and dark plum after some time in the glass. The palate has attractive dark fruit with classic Tasmanian acidity, this is accompanied by complex herbal notes and a lingering finish with a touch of oak spice.

Best Enjoyed With
Baked gnocchi with wild mushrooms and pesto parmesan bechamel. Roast pork with pistachio stuffing served with braised leeks and creamy butternut mash.

Treatment
Fermentation started after two to three days and continued for four to five days, with five to twenty percent whole bunches, depending on site. The cap was plunged up to three times a day to extract colour and tannin from the skins. The wine was then pressed and settled before being placed into French oak barriques (20% new) for 9 months, where malolactic fermentation took place prior to filtration and bottling.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
