Description

If you’re talking about the history of Tasmanian wine, you can’t leave out Bream Creek. Fred Peacock’s vineyard, planted in 1974, is one of the oldest in the state, and his name carries serious weight in the industry. Fred was growing Pinot Noir on Tasmania’s East Coast long before it was fashionable, and the wines today show just how right he was.

The 2024 release carries all the hallmarks of the Bream Creek style: bright red fruits, gentle spice, and a whisper of the sea that speaks to the vineyard’s dramatic coastal setting overlooking Marion Bay. The mild, sun-drenched season has given the wine an extra layer of depth, without sacrificing the purity and finesse that cool-climate Tasmanian Pinot lovers chase.

It’s elegant yet confident, built around bright acidity, fine tannins, and a silky finish that keeps you coming back for more. Whether you’re filling a cellar or just after a seriously good Tassie Pinot to enjoy over the next few years, this is a brilliant and authentic pick from a Tasmanian trailblazer.

Palate

A delightfully fresh bouquet of flowers, red fruits (cherries, plums, raspberries), cedar and spice. The palate is similarly fresh and lithe, showcasing similar flavours, subtle and integrated tannins and a long finish carrying red fruits, a hint of cocoa and spice.

Food Pairing

With excellent fine tannins and a long finish, this wine would suit a wide range of foods, such as Raddoch farm quail with a pomegranate salad.
