Description
Brian Franklin is one of the true characters of Tasmanian wine, and his tiny vineyard in Bicheno produces some of the most distinctive Pinot Noir in the country. This 2024 release is a stunning return to form, described by Brian himself as "a return to the good old days, plus some."
It pours a deep ruby red, full of promise. While Brian bottles without fining or filtration to preserve maximum flavour, the wine remains bright and crystal clear. The nose is deep and mysterious, packed with ripe Pinot fruit and devoid of any bracken or green characters.
On the palate, it is classic Apsley Gorge. It is textured, mouth-filling and rich, with a firm savoury edge that has become the hallmark of the vineyard. A long, persistent finish is carried by fresh acidity that makes the wine sing. It is a powerful, structured Pinot that will reward those who like their wines with a bit of personality.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

Our warehouse is automated so unless you tell us otherwise, we will ship your order. If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
