Kaesler’s Old Vine Shiraz is a proper Barossa classic. It’s built from three estate-grown blocks planted right around the winery, with vines ranging from 40 to well over 100 years old. The 2023 season was one of the wettest and coolest in recent memory, which pushed harvest back by nearly a month. This slow ripening turned out to be a blessing, giving the winemakers fruit with a level of elegance and lively acidity that you don't always see in warmer years. After 16 months in a mix of new and seasoned French oak, the wine has developed a plush, velvety texture that balances out the dense black fruit and warm spices.
Despite the cooler year, it's still rich and complex, leading with blackberries and plums, but it stays remarkably balanced thanks to those fine, delicate tannins. It’s a wine with serious staying power - classic, honest, and expertly crafted. If you’re looking for a Barossa Shiraz that has depth and length without going completely over the top, this is exactly what you want.

"I like the '23 vintage from the Barossa. There's a concentration and depth to the fruit without any overbearing heaviness to the wine's form. Red plum and dark berry fruits with fruitcake spice, dark chocolate, pan juices, purple flowers, gentle oak and earth. There's a savoury palate shape here; sleek and showing just the right amount of sinewy and verve at it sails forward."

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.
What that means for you:
- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate
Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.
**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.
If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
