94 points - "The 2023 Sauvage Sauvignon Blanc hails from the glorious 2023 season. In the context of whites in Margaret River, the season was mild, long and dry. It was devoid of viticultural challenges, and the question was merely when to pick rather than how to dodge impending difficulty in the vineyard. This has the potential to lead to brilliant decisions but also can yield questionable results. I happen to believe that a little bit of adversity is good overall—for people and for wine—and the 2023 vintage in Margaret River experienced very little at all. In happy news, however, many of the wines appear to be of sensational quality. This 2023 Sauvage Sauvignon Blanc leads with sweet sugar snap pea, cassis, a hint of scraped vanilla pod, juniper, plum and sage. In the mouth, the wine is shaped by piercing acidity, which emphasizes the gentle phenolic structure as a whole. 94 points - "It’s quite A LOT, though in a wild and good way. Passionfruit, lime, blackcurrant, green capsicum, lemon thyme and lavender, with a little spice and smoke in the mix. Plenty of flavour and intensity, bright acid cut, grapefruit and passionfruit, slightly creamy and savoury, powdery grip, with a tangy, zesty and juicy finish of excellent length. Lots of energy.
