Description
Blue Poles has carved out a reputation as one of the true champions of Cabernet Franc in Australia, and the Reserve bottling is where they really let the variety shine. The 2023 comes off their small Wilyabrup vineyard, made in tiny quantities and treated with the sort of attention you only give to something special.
In the glass it’s unmistakably Franc - aromatic and lifted, with red and black fruits, a savoury herbal edge, and that gentle spice that makes the grape so compelling. The palate has drive and depth, yet it never feels heavy, the fine tannins giving it shape while still keeping everything fresh. It’s one of those wines that works beautifully young but clearly has the bones to age into something even more layered and complex.
There aren’t many Australian Cabernet Francs that hit this level of detail and finesse, and that makes it a bit of a gem. Limited, beautifully made, and very fairly priced for what’s in the bottle, it’s one of those wines you’ll kick yourself for not buying more of down the line.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
