Description
The Goettweig Messwein, or altar wine, has been an institution from this Benedictine monastery for centuries. It can only be produced with permission from the bishop, and is required to be naturally produced without alterations.
With its lowish alcohol, Messwein is a very light wine. Dry, fruity and light with classic, though subtle, Gruner spice. Fresh and elegant on the palate, it is expressive, with good length.

I normally don't drink white wine but after a friend suggested the 2020 Stift Goettweig Gruner Veltliner Messwein I had to try it. It has a clean and fresh taste and is perfect for all occasions. I have reordered several times now and enjoy it every time.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
