Description
The Jamsheed Roussanne is a top example of this white Rhone variety.
It comes from the Warner vineyard that is famously used by Giaconda in the Northern Victorian cool climate region of Beechworth, and it receives the full box and dice.
Whole bunch pressed, wild yeasts, old large format French oak, lees stirring - all doing their bit to add body and texture to the wine.
Gary's been picking this wine earlier and retaining great natural acidity, meaning that despite all of its texture and body it remains fresh and vibrant. If you're into your Chardonnays and other full-bodied whites then this will be right up your alley.

This wine has a delicious almost luscious full mouth feel, full bodied without being overwhelming. Rich fruit flavour but with a serious savouriness that makes it moreish and an excellent companion to a meal. This sparked a conversation around our table as to why we don’t drink more of this varietal.

Rousanne is one of the typical white varieties of the northern Rhône and is particularly delicate and elegant. Roussanne is blended most often with other grape varieties when not blended express its finest characteristics.
The Jamsheed Rousanne displays a delicate honeysuckle aroma, pear flavor, and full body 'cloudy' look. Exceptional wine for a special meal.
