Excellent, kind of brooding, but still offering vigour and all in drinking pleasure.

About the Wine
Tim Smith is heavily influenced by the wine styles coming out of the Rhone Valley - unsurprising here with this blend - but he still likes to incorporate the Barossa style into everything he makes. He's a 'tinkerer', an experimenter, who loves to have a little fun with his winemaking.
The GSM blend is a popular one all over the globe, but it isn't too often that you find the M before the G. This one is Mataro/Mourvedre dominant, giving it a deep, bold broodiness.
It's definitely a cracker of a wine, full of energy, dark berries and spice. It'll also stand the test of time in the cellar, if you can resist the urge to drink it now.
About Tim Smith
Tim Smith loves the Barossa and he's not afraid to yell it from the rafters.
His range of Barossa and Eden classics are exemplary value and of very high quality. There is an honesty to the wines he makes and a charming rusticity across the whole range.
Tim has more than two decades of experience making wine in the Barossa and abroad and he has taken these influences from the Rhone Valley, Portugal, and NZ and infused those winemaking ideas with a classic Barossa regional style.
If you love classic Barossa wines delivered without pretension, you are going to get along with Tim just fine.
