It’s steely and taut...and good for it in refreshment factor, scintillating freshness and detail. Love it.

About the Wine
This is regarded by many as Australia's most cellar-worthy blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
Owner/vigneron Barry Morey makes this in a traditional way, utilising a small amount of skin contact, 100% barrel ferment and extended ageing on lees to give extra dimensions to this classic white coupling.
This wine drinks beautifully from the day it is released, but with time in bottle comes more chapters to the story.
Considered one of the touchstones for quality for Australian Sauvignon Blanc Semillon blends, this is a wine you need in your cellar.
About Sorrenberg
Barry and Jan Morey planted their stunning Beechworth vineyard in 1986. Their first release in 1989 began the Sorrenberg story, a story destined to be one of Australia's great estates.
Barry farms with adherence to biodynamics, believing this to be the best way to get the most out of his home block of 2.4 Ha. on the outskirts of Beechworth. Their wines are famous for their balance and longevity.
The wines are made in traditional fashion, with wild yeasts for fermentation, gentle oak maturation and basket pressing for each wine.
The Gamay, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and Cabernet blend are amongst the finest of heir kind in the country. Sorrenberg is one of the true gems of Beechworth, and indeed Australian, wine.
