The Balnaves family has been in the region since the mid-1800s, and they’ve been farming that famous Terra Rossa strip for decades. While they make some serious, long-lived reds, 'The Blend' is really their way of showing a more relaxed side of the estate.
2021 was a milder season, which allowed the fruit to hang around a bit longer and develop some real depth without getting too heavy. It's a mix of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Petit Verdot, and because it only sees a tiny bit of new oak, the fruit really gets to lead the way.
It’s got that classic Coonawarra profile - think blackcurrants, a bit of spice, and an earthy, coffee-grind savouriness - but the tannins are plush and friendly. It’s not a wine you need to lock away for a decade to enjoy; it's tailor-made for a Sunday roast or just a reliable mid-week glass that over-delivers on quality.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.
To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.

Our warehouse is automated so unless you tell us otherwise, we will ship your order. If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
