About the Wine
This attractive wine hails from a few of the Bernetti family's own vineyards in Abruzzo. The aim is to capture and express all the best elements of this charming grape and the particular sites of its origins. In order to achieve this, grapes are hand harvested before fermenting and resting a few months all in stainless steel.
Fresh, soft and very alluring, this is a lovely medium-weighted Montepulciano d'Abruzzo displaying typical plum and cherry fruits with a fine dusting of tanning and some minerality on the mellow finish. Excellent value for money here, seriously easy drinking and begging for a pizza to pair up with.
About Umani Ronchi
Umani Ronchi is owned by the Bianchi-Bernetti family, who since 1957 have been tending their vines across the Abruzzo and Marche.
They farm their vineyards organically, for technical rather than ideological reasons, and sustainability is at their core: lighter glass bottles with a lower impact in terms of CO2 emissions, and synthetic cane sugar corks that are 100% recyclable.
