Bold wine, and full of flavour, though not lacking acidity and cut.

About the Wine
The Sigalas Assyrtiko Santorini is a wine that will truly make you feel like you're living it up on a Greek island. With its bright acidity and pronounced minerality, it evokes the sea and the terroir of Santorini with every sip. There are lovely flavours of citrus and stone fruit (particularly peach).
As the wine ages, it develops notes of honey and petrol (yes, in a good way), much like an aged Riesling. Naturally, as the wine is completely dry, it is a great choice to have with seafood, or any rich dishes with poultry or creamy sauces.
About Domaine Sigalas
Since its inception in 1991 (a venture between Paris Sigalas, Christos Markozane and Yiannis Toundas) Domaine Sigalas has strived to make some of Greece's most interesting and complex whites, with a natural focus on Assyrtiko.
Based in Oia, a quiet spot in the north of the stunning island of Santorini (part of the Cyclades island group), they now farm 19 hectares of vines in some unique volcanic soils. They are some of the oldest vineyards (not vines) in the world, with a heritage going back thousands of years.
