Description

For those who are familiar with the cult wines of the Jura will be familliar with the surname Overnoy. The great Pierre Overnoy is one of the cultural icons of the area and has done much for the reputation of France's smallest wine growing region.

Domaine Overnoy is operated by Pierre's nephew, Guillaume - a young man in his 20s who took control of his family's wines in 2013. He now farms 5.5 hectares under vine without the use of chemicals in Orbagna, Jura. He is one of the region's young gun producers making honest wines that follow in the footsteps of the region's great makers.

This is Guillaume's delicious, oxidative style of Savagnin. It's rich, though sliced with the signature salinity and crystaline acidity that the Jura is famous for.

Only a small amount makes it into the country.

"This estate is located in Orbagna, in the south of the Jura in the region of Sud Revermont. They are not too far away from Rotalier, home to the famous estates of Labet and Ganevat.

In fact it was Julien Labet who introduced me to Guillaume Overnoy in early 2017 when we visited him and had dinner afterwards. Julien had invited Guillaume to come for dinner and to meet us (I was invited along with Labet's Canadian importer that evening) and we tasted his excellent wines.

Guillaume came back to the family estate in 2013 and has been working full time since then. In 2014 he began conversion of the estate of 5.5 hectares to organic cultivation. They have all five Jura varieties planted and specialize in Trousseau which does particularly well in their area. The vines are grown mostly in Orbagna but they also have a single hectare further north in Cesancey.

This is an estate to watch, the talent is there, as is passion and support. I feel lucky to have discovered this estate before it's inevitable rise to stardom!" - Andrew Guard, importer

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
