Unctuous, with head-spinning complexity... with a seam of freshness that drives the flavours across the tongue and off into the distance.

About the Wine
The 2001 Seppeltsfield Para 21 Year Old Tawny is yet another indicator of why this winery is so highly regarded for its fortifieds.
For 21 years this wine sat in barrels, maturing and developing its rich aromas and flavours, and now we get to finally enjoy this beautiful wine. With rich almond, raisin, chocolate and prune characters, there is lots of sweetness on the palate yet as you savour the wine in the mouth the finish turns dry, thanks to the fine tannin structure.
As with any tawny-style wine, enjoy it with rich desserts or just sip on a cold evening in front on the fireplace/heater.
About Seppeltsfield
Seppeltsfield is a Barossa icon winery, famous for its unbroken line of hundred-year old tawny release, and also for its Canary Island date palms which line the avenues of its amazing cellar and winery.
First established by Joseph and Johanna Seppelt in 1850, it has been back in private hands since 2007 after a period of corporate ownership, owned by winemaker Warren Randall.
Their incredible heritage of fortified wines is now being supplemented by a renewed focus on outstanding still table wines. The future seems as bright as its past.
