Thymiopoulos
Apostolos Thymiopoulos is one of the key wine producers in the region of Naoussa, north central Greece, biodynamically cultivating fascinating wines, predominantly from the thick-skinned red grape Xinomavro (he makes ten different versions!)
His family has been tending wines in and around the village of Trifolos for generations. Since his first release under the Thymiopoulos label in 2005 he has farmed biodynamically and made wines in his family's tradition - unfined, unfiltered aged in vats and barrels.
He was named the DECANTER Rising Star of the Year in 2022.
