Sonnen is a fresh face in the Tasmanian wine scene, with local Tassie boy Luke Andree quickly becoming a cult name with his use of natural, lo-fi techniques and effortlessly smashable wines.
After starting his professional life as a physiotherapist, Luke quickly pivoted to wine, gaining experience at places like Mac Forbes, Little Reddie, Moorilla, Oakridge, and even a stint at the German minimal intervention purist of Melsheimer.
Moving to make wine in Tasmania full-time in 2019, Luke balances making the Sonnen line while also heading up the vineyard and cellar operations at Mewstone and Hughes & Hughes. Is anyone else doing as much to put lo-fi Tassie wine on the map?!
