Description

Invigorating Pet Nat from NSW mastermind Nick Spencer, though he uses the full title on the label, Petillant Naturel, as he is an educated man.

It's dominantly Grenache with some Sangiovese added for some extra grunt, all sourced from elevated sites in the Hilltops region. Really tasty, and vinous as well, with some good fruit concentration alongside insane drinkability.

Easily one of our favourite Pet Nats, it's one you'll keep coming back to.

A Sparkling wine made from Grenache and Sangiovese using a traditional method of sparkling wine production that pre dates the Champagne Method. The Wine is not disgorged and carries the yeast lees from fermentation.

93 Points - "Raspberry and cranberry punch. With mixed fresh mint and some other sweet herbs. The flavours are more savoury than aromas, like pomegranate and ruby grapefruit. It has some yeasty deposit (undisgorged) but it’s a pretty squeaky-clean looking and tasting pet-nat otherwise. Fine, salty bubbles. It all works very well. Very well.     Fruit bomb

    Dominated by a raspberry confectionery character, classic grenache but paired with potentially a bit of residual sugar it's very fruit sweet. It does have some nice acid and freshness too though, overall a very enjoyable fun wine.

Nick Spencer Wines

Nick Spencer is one of NSW's most decorated winemakers. Over the span of more than two decades, he has become perhaps the state's most outspoken advocate for the potential of the regions of the NSW High Country, in particular, Tumbarumba and Gundagai.

Nick's wines exemplify balance, style, immense drinkability and exceptional value for money. As his label has expanded, his winemaking has become more adventurous, now incorporating the use of amphora, sulphur-free bottlings and a more stripped-back winemaking style to highlight the quality of the fruit that these lesser-known NSW regions can produce.

He is one of the most important producers in NSW today and is the touchstone of quality for the state.

For orders under this amount, delivery is calculated at checkout based on your postcode. You can order in any quantity or combination of wines you like. Straight dozens are not required.

Ordering

We want Different Drop customers to always be getting the best price. If you see a lower price elsewhere, just get in touch and we will sort it out for you. We handle all our price-matching on a case by case basis.

Some things to keep in mind: 

  • Retrospective price-matching is available for 30 days after you have purchased from us.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.
