Domaine Tempier
Domaine Tempier in Bandol might make the world's best Rose. It is certainly among the most renowned, and with its growing popularity, allocations to Australia seem to shrink each year.
The historic estate has been in the Peyraud family since 1936, and today, with the passing of Lucien Peyraud in 1996 and the retirement of sons Francois and Jean-Marie, the estate is run by the talented Daniel Ravier.
Vines are spread over several vineyard sites across approx 60 hectares, with old-vine Mourvedre being naturally of most importance.
