As is so often the case with Italian wineries, Cantina Tombacco is the expression of generations of one family's love affair with winemaking.
It was formed in 1919 by Giovanni Battista Tombacco, when he went from farming peaches to grapes. His sons and grandsons also caught the winemaking bug, carrying on the family tradition.
They are now one of the best large-scale organic producers in the whole of Italy, based in Veneto, but with vineyards and growers across the country.
