Frankland Estate are one of the leading producers in the Frankland River region of Western Australia. Family owned and operated since 1988, their focus is on certified organically grown fruit that reflects the unique terroir it hails from rather than the hand of the winemaker.
And their Isolation Ridge label wines are the ones they believe do this better than any other, being the "wines they hang [their] hat on".
We've just received our limited allocation of their new Isolation Ridge releases, which are all crafted with only the very best parcels from the oldest vines on the estate.
The Isolation Ridge Riesling is by far one of the most awarded Riesling's in the country, and the 2022 vintage is no different, having earned 96 points from Wine Pilot and 95 points from The Wine Front prior to their official release.
The Isolation Ridge Syrah is an effortlessly elegant cool-climate Shiraz, with all the spice and floral top notes you could possibly ask for, and has received similarly fantastic scores from the wine media of late.
This release also sees a new addition to the range - the 2021 Isolation Ridge Mourvedre. The Smith family have been growing Mourvedre on their property for the past 20 years, usually blending it away into some of their other reds. These Mourvedre vines are the oldest in the region for the variety, and so they decided it was finally time to bring it into the spotlight.
This exciting new release has come out from the gates swinging, already receiving 96 and 94 points from Wine Pilot and The Wine Front respectively.
We recently tasted these epic new releases, which you can check out on our Youtube page.
With the limited nature of these wines and extremely high scores, we don't expect these WA benchmarks to be around for long - so take a look and dive in just here!
