Description

The 10X Pinot pulls together fruit from several of Ten Minutes by Tractor’s estate vineyards - Coolart Road, Hunts Road, Capella, Paradigm Hill, McCutcheon and Wallis. Each block adds its own little character, and together they create a Pinot that really over-delivers for the price.

Made with the same care as their top-tier wines, just in a style that’s meant to be open and approachable, this is a darker Mornington Pinot with plenty of flavour. Think black cherry, forest fruits and a little savoury spice in the mix, lifted by florals and a gentle herbal note. The tannins are fine and silky, giving shape without weighing things down.

Fermentation was kept gentle in concrete, oak and stainless, before a short rest in French oak (15% new) for five months. The result is a Pinot that’s fresh, flavoursome and ready to enjoy right now - a cracking value from one of the region’s benchmark producers.

    Was excellent but is now a good quaffing red

Ruby red shades, earthy undertones and spice are beautifully intertwined with bursts of sweet perfume, providing a wonderful welcome to this wine. On the palate, it begins with raspberry and leathery notes that gracefully move towards a darker spectrum of black cherry as the wine glides and lingers. Tannins are fine and resolved, giving structure and depth, but it is the intense fruit profile that champions this wine, delivering on all levels from start to finish.

Vintage
The 2025 vintage was magnificent. Moderate warm days, cool nights, and dry conditions throughout summer and autumn provided ideal ripening conditions. Healthy, balanced canopies across all sites delivered wonderful flavours, bright acidity, and excellent fruit quality.

Winemaking
Handpicked fruit was hand-sorted and fermented in concrete, oak, and stainless-steel vessels. Batches were cold-soaked for 4 days at 8°C before wild fermentation commenced. Fermentation management was light, with pump-overs and some plunging over 14–18 days on skins. The wine was then pressed to tank, racked to barrel, underwent natural malolactic fermentation, and later racked to tank.

Tasting Notes
