Description

The 10X range is always a reliable introduction to the precision of Ten Minutes by Tractor, and this 2025 Pinot Gris is no exception. It’s a multi-site blend that pulls from the Hunts Road, Osborn, and Wallis vineyards in the northern stretch of the Mornington Peninsula, an area that gives the fruit a bit more warmth and generosity while holding onto that crucial acid line.

The season was pretty much text-book with warm days, cool nights and dry conditions allowing for perfect ripening. In the winery, Imogen Dillon and Martin Spedding fermented the parcels separately using wild yeast in a mix of stainless steel, concrete and older barriques. It’s a thoughtful approach that builds layers without weighing the wine down.

It's a textured and detailed Gris. It opens with lifted aromatics of citrus peel, pear skin and perfumed musk, backed by a little ginger spice. On the palate, there is a lovely depth of fruit balanced by a fine, chalky grip that gives the finish real presence. It’s fresh enough for a casual glass but has enough phenolic weight to stand up to lots of different foods.

Vintage
The 2025 vintage was magnificent. Moderate warm days, cool nights and dry conditions throughout the Summer and Autumn provided ideal ripening conditions. Healthy and balanced canopies across all sites produced wonderful flavours and acidity and excellent fruit quality.

Winemaking
Various fruit parcels were picked and processed separately before fermenting in a combination of stainless steel, concrete and older barriques using wild yeast. Maturation in concrete and French oak barrels assisted with the integration of bright primary fruit characters and savoury layers with mineral complexity and undertones. Parcels were blended, lightly fined and filtered before bottling.
