Description

J&S Fielke is a small Adelaide Hills label still building their story, but moving quickly in the right direction. This Piccadilly Valley Pinot Noir is a gorgeous, elegant counterpart to their firework Chardonnays.

It draws from two Summertown sites chosen for what each brings to the blend: a south-facing block planted to D5V12 for perfume and lift, and an east-facing parcel of 777 clone for structure and darker fruit character. The 2025 vintage was warm and dry, which has given the wine a supple, generous texture to go with its natural acidity and freshness.  The winemaking is hands-on without being heavy-handed. 25% whole bunches, a few weeks on skins and then aged for nine months in 15% new oak. No fining, no filtering.

What comes out the other end is an aromatic, structured Pinot with genuine complexity but vibrant fruit at its core. There's earthiness and spice too, and the tannins have a bit of grip and texture. A delightful Hills Pinot from a label worth keeping an eye on.

"This is lip-smackingly satisfying, generous but has the flow and suppleness requisite of the term pinosity."
- Mike Bennie (Halliday Wine Companion)

"It’s a perfumed and structured wine, but more importantly, it’s interesting and tasty"
- Kasia Sobiesiak (The Wine Front)

94 points - "Henschke and King’s Hill vineyards are the sources for the fruit. It's a mellow, soft pinot noir, but not without gravel and grunt in tannin, meaty notes, turned earth and dried herb complexity. It's not just a story of ripe, dark cherry fruit character, though that is a mainstay. This is lip-smackingly satisfying, generous but has the flow and suppleness requisite of the term pinosity. Quiet complexity is on hand. The deliciousness is the gist, and it's best for younger drinking." - Mike Bennie (Halliday Wine Companion)

93 points - "Very inviting perfume. All high-toned, vibrant scents. Morello cherry, cranberry, a splash of pomegranate juice and red plum skin. Balancing the sweet-sour fruit are bitter herbs like sage and spices like cloves and cinnamon bark, with a note of hazelnut skin. There’s a wet forest note here, wet bark, that kind of humid-air-in-the-forest tension. Tannins are pumice stone-like, giving traction and texture until the bitter orange twist comes in the end. I like the character of this wine. It’s a perfumed and structured wine, but more importantly, it’s interesting and tasty, and with an amaro theme going on that tickles the senses the right way." - Kasia Sobiesiak (The Wine Front)

Sourced from two sites in Summertown. The first a South facing site planted to D5V12 providing aromatics and a East facing 777 clone providing structure and darker fruit profiles. The warm, dry 2025 vintage has provided supple, silky texture and darker red berry aromatics. Fermented with 25% whole bunch, and after a 4 day cold soak, a wild fermentation began. After 23 days on skins, the wine was pressed and after settling overnight it was barrelled down to 15% new oak for 9 months aging, before racking to bottle without fining or filtering. Diam Closure.

They have planted out parts of Jemma's family property in the Hills to one day make their own estate-grown wines but in the meantime, they are sourcing small parcels from Piccadilly and making some profoundly delicious wines.

The word on the street is these two will be big players in the future of the Hills. Get in now on the ground floor of this exciting emerging project.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
