Description

Andre Bondar is one of the best makers of Rose in Australia. There. We said it.

And the 2025 is absolutely on point yet again. A blend of Grenache (90%), Cinsault (5%), and Mataro (5%), this rosé is all about freshness, delicacy, and drinkability, perfectly capturing the breezy charm of their coastal home.

It's pale, dry, and full of aromas of red berries, watermelon, and a hint of citrus. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with juicy fruit flavours balanced by a clean, savoury finish.

Our go-to Aussie Rose and unbeatable value!

"In any year, this is a sure candidate for Australia’s top rosé – for both quality and value ... A benchmark mod-Oz rosé.”
– Young Gun Of Wine, 2023.

"This is benchmark stuff, further cementing Bondar's rosé as a reference point."
- Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion
"Always one of the country's finest rosés"
- Ned Goodwin MW, Halliday Wine Companion

96 points - "Now all home Rayner vineyard fruit, with grenache (90%) off vines planted in 1970, with some from ’19 and ’17. The other 10% is an even split of cinsault and mataro, with the latter seeing older oak. This is as good as any rosé from this address, and that’s saying a lot, with the bar set so high. Rose gold leaning into onion skin in appearance, with notes of redcurrant, wild cherry, orange peel, pink grapefruit, watermelon and musk. No confection here. No estery blur – just exceptional fruit and a masterfully refined blend. It’s properly dry, expansive though supremely elegant, long through the palate, slightly chalky, pithy, vibrant. Once again, stunning." - Marcus Ellis (Halliday Wine Companion)

Hands down favourite

If you are a fan of dry, crisp rose this should be top of your list. Very tasty, easy to drink but still with enough to keep you interested, and with lovely acidity that gives freshness. My favourite rose and even better for being under $30!

One of the best

I bought some of this on spec - based on the quality of Bondar's red blends.
Rose can be a bit of a lucky dip because the name tells you very little other than what colour to expect. Behind that name, the thing that counts most is what grapes it's made from. This wine is pretty much all classic McLaren Vale Grenache, with just a dash of Cinsault & Mataro.
It's medium dry, with a great bouquet of (you guessed it) roses!

Grenache 90% / Cinsault 5% / Mataro 5%. A pale, dry rosé made from the McLaren Vale, our beautiful home by the sea. Bright, fresh, delicate and aromatic, this wine is designed to be best enjoyed in its youth.

Bondar Wines

Andre & Selina Bondar are one of the great modern Australian wine success stories. We have been massive fans of their wines since their very first vintage and tell anyone who will listen that if you want to taste what modern McLaren Vale wines are all about then this is who you need to try.

Their home block, the highly decorated Rayner Vineyard, which straddles the Blewitt Springs and Seaview sub-regions of The Vale, was originally planted back in the 1950s but the Bondar family chapter in that vineyard's story will be its most significant. Dre and Sel's wines are honest and vibrant, built more on freshness and digestibility rather than raw South Australian power.

They make brilliant, vibrant Grenache, balanced and concentrated Shiraz, elegant Adelaide Hills Chardonnay, and one of the country's most bankable Rose wines plus a raft of small-batch alternative varieties. Their range nails quality and drinkability at every turn.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
