Description

Warramate Pinot Noir has always been a savvy play for Yarra Valley fans. Because the vineyard sits right on the doorstep of Yarra Yering and the wine is made by the same crew, you’re essentially getting elite-level DNA for a fraction of the cost.

The 2024 is all about that pretty, lacy red fruit. Sarah Crowe and the team have used a mix of four different Pinot blocks, including some old-vine cuttings from the Yarra Yering site itself. They’ve played with varying amounts of whole-bunch fermentation to build in layers and a bit of aromatic lift. It’s dainty but concentrated, leading with bright cranberry and watermelon notes, backed by a savoury, woody whiff of sandalwood.

It’s medium-weighted and silky, exactly how good Yarra Pinot should be. The light stalk tannins give it a bit of crunch and shape, but it’s the freshness that wins you over. This isn't a wine to overthink; it’s a juicy, bright red that’s ready to pour.

Yarra Yering

Yarra Yering is one of the most iconic wineries of the modern Yarra Valley.

Founded in 1969 by the visionary vigneron Dr. Bailey Carrodous, Yarra Yering has become a benchmark in quality and one of the most collected wineries in the country.

From this small patch of earth in the North of the Gruyere sub-region, Dr. Carrodous produced these legendary wines for more than three decades. In the process becoming recognised as one of the most influential winemakers in the Yarra's history.

Today, the wines are crafted by the talented Sarah Crowe. She brings the wines to bottle with the same passion and attention to detail that made the great Yarra Yering wines of old so revered.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
