Description

Juliard is a project built on partnership - both in life and in winemaking. Bernard Morey grew up among the vines at Sorrenberg, while Julia’s background in hospitality and marketing brought her to wine in a different way. Together, they craft minimal-intervention wines that balance tradition with fresh ideas, always with an eye on sustainability.

Their 2024 Rosé is a precise, beautifully structured expression of Beechworth fruit. Made from estate-grown Grenache with a splash of Cinsault from the Bindarra block at Sorrenberg, it’s vibrant, dry, and finely textured. Expect delicate red cherry, cranberry, and apple blossom, carried by crisp acidity and a light floral lift. A creamy, savoury thread on the mid-palate adds complexity, making it more than just a simple summer sipper.

An elegant, refreshing, well-priced Rose from a label to keep an eye on.

"Not often do you see a Grenache rosé in Australia with a 'touch' of Cinsault, yet it's a common blending combo in the south of France. It works well here with Cinsault bringing that extra layer of piercing strawberry and gingery spice to a solid Grenache core of earthy cherry, light confection married to some scintillating, juicy acidity. Fresh and vital, it deserves only light refrigeration."

The Wine:
This wine is your go-to summer companion, made from our own Grenache grapes with a touch of Cinsault from the Bindarra block at Sorrenberg.

It pairs wonderfully with your favourite spicy dishes and has a fresh, dry taste with creamy berry notes that linger. Or pairs fantastic with fresh oysters or a super creamy brie.

Our Story:
Meet Bernard and Julia from Juliard, we have both formed our way in this industry through different avenues. Julia started with the hospitality and marketing side, while Bern went into winemaking and Viticulture. We have now settled back closer to our roots, to create wines we are passionate about.

Without the love of wine, we would not have found each other to start this little thing we call life.

Our Land:
The most important thing to be in touch with in viticulture is your land, understanding your land and working with it to ensure you are benefiting the most in quality as well as also being beneficial to the land and vineyards.

Our Wines:
Although Juliard is just beginning, we have great dreams to make a vast range of minimal intervention wines that are approachable while still having layers of complexity. We make wines that we enjoy, with tradition and innovation. Wines that are to be paired and shared.. and for us, explored.
