Description

This is Sauvignon Blanc with its shirt tucked in but sleeves rolled up. Sourced from the cooler, stonier soils of Martinborough’s Te Muna vineyard, it’s a more chilled-out take on the classic NZ style - less in-your-face tropicals, more citrus, herbs and a bit of that chalky, riverstone grip underneath it all.

The winemaking is pretty hands-off - just enough time on lees and a whisper of old oak to bring some shape and texture, without stealing the freshness. There’s still plenty of zing, but it’s got balance and a bit of subtlety too. It’s the kind of wine that works whether you’re eating or not, and it’s definitely one of those bottles you could open and not feel like sharing.

Clean, crisp, quietly smart - this is Savvy B with a bit of polish, but still easygoing.

95 points - "This is Ben Tombs first vintage as chief winemaker, here he states his mark, not as hen honcho but as a guide for the site. The ancient alluvial soils give this wine its distinct silty finesse. White melons, pineapple core, apple leaf and nettle. Its acidity is bracing but gives way freely to the core of lemon juice and subtle tropical notes, leaving you awakened and energised. The 2025 vintage will also be out now, but this is your nod to giving the Te Muna wines time, this has hit its straps with silk thread of phenolics, creamy texture and yet that vibrant fresh fruit line we can expect from Martinborough. Drink on release, with a couple of years, then 5 or so. Stunning. Try it with sand whiting, just seared in a pan and lemon wedges." - Shanteh Wale (Wine Pilot)

Tasting Note
Pale lemon in colour, this Sauvignon Blanc reflects the diverse soils of our Te Muna vineyard. Aromas of white peach, lemon, blossoms, fresh-cut herbs, and passionfruit lead into a palate driven by crisp acidity. The wine is balanced by stony minerality, subtle salinity, and a chalky texture imparted by the old river stones of the vineyard.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
