Description
The Puritan has long been one of McLaren Vale’s best bargains and proof that preservative-free wine can be both clean and delicious. It’s made by Joch Bosworth, who’s been farming organically in the Vale since the mid-’90s, long before it was fashionable.
This is Shiraz made for pure, unfiltered drinking pleasure. It’s picked from a handful of old family vineyards, fermented in small open tanks, and bottled straight after malo - no oak, no sulphur, no makeup. What you get is the fruit in full colour: blackberry, boysenberry, blueberry, and a little violet lift, all wrapped in soft, medium-weight tannins.
The 2024 vintage brought a bit of everything - a tricky, cool spring and a mild finish that gave lovely balance to the fruit. The result is the freshest, most immediate side of McLaren Vale Shiraz you’ll taste. Drink it young, preferably outside, and don’t overthink it.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
