The Indigene is a classic Rhone Valley blend of Shiraz & Mataro , sourced from their oldest dry grown vineyards in the Ebenezer, Moppa and Eastern foothills regions of the Barossa.
It's a powerful yet elegant beast, showing all the intensity and gravitas of an old-vine Barossa red but with the Spinifex finesse.
It's wines like this that have built Peter Schell's reputation as one of the finest winemakers in the region.

"A blend of 90/10% mataro/shiraz from the Vinehaven and Rocky Valley vineyards. This smells glorious. Uber-pure satsuma plum, blueberry and black cherry fruits cut with hints of exotic spice, créme de cassis, tobacco, purple floral tones, bay leaf, olive tapenade, graphite and earth. The fruit is the star here; perfectly poised and harmonious, it melds with silty-fine tannins, with a red apple skin acidity on the fade out. Superb."

Beautifully fragrant with softer and finer tannins, full bodied and bold, fruity.
Beautifully drinkable now and am sure if i had the patience should have left it on the shelf to get some age on it to i strongly believe to taste even better.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.
If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
