Description
The 2022 Saep Eddy Syrah is a lovely, hand-crafted wine, made from vines planted over 30 years ago by Dave Gartelmann’s family in the southernmost part of the Adelaide Hills.
At 390 metres above sea level, the vines thrive in gravelly, silty loam and weathered sandstone soils, which lend a distinctive freshness and elegance to the fruit. Dave is a passionate advocate for organic and biodynamic practices, with his minimal intervention approach resulting in vibrant, pure-fruited wines.
In the glass, the Eddy Syrah offers layers of dark berry fruit, subtle spice, and a brambly character reflective of the vineyard’s rugged landscape. A scattering of semillon vines adds a refreshing lift, balancing depth and complexity. Rested for over a year before release, this Syrah is ready to enjoy now but will age nicely over the next few years too.
A deliciously approachable cool climate Shiraz and tip-top value too! Very limited.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.
To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.

Our warehouse is automated so unless you tell us otherwise, we will ship your order. If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
