About The Wine
Kathleen Quealy is one of Australia's Pinot Grigio pioneers, and hers is still one of the country's best.
It comes from the Mornington Peninsula, which we believe is home to the country's finest examples of this much-loved grape. Where many Pinot Grigio or Gris for that matter can be quite simplistic, this has a real presence and finesse to it.
It has perfume, it has ripe fruit, it has texture and it has refreshment. It's one of those wines with not a hair out of place. It's lovely.
If you like Pinot Grigio then this is a must!
About Quealy
Kathleen Quealy is the winemaking soul of Mornington Peninsula, and was the first person to plant Pinot Gris in Australia. Kathleen and her husband Kevin McCarthy launched T'Gallant winery in the 90s, pioneering this famous variety. Quealy Vineyards is based in Merricks North, with the winery and cellar door in the centre of the viticultural action.
Kathleen has continued to innovate - along with PG, Quealy is renowned for super-interesting expressions of Muscat and Fruilano, experimenting with different degrees of skin-contact and fermentation styles. A true industry legend!
