Description
This Cabernet Sauvignon is named after Stephen's father and one of Australia's winemaking pioneers, Cyril Henschke.
In the late 1960's, it was Cyril who planted the Cabernet Sauvignon vines in the Henschke vineyard - so it only makes sense that the resulting wine from the grapes bears his legacy.
It's an enchanting expression of Cabernet - herbs, purple florals, blackberries, plums and cherries with earthy notes and fine grained tannin. A beauty of a wine from an outstanding vintage.

"A classic Cyril style, quiet to the point of being unassuming in its youth in scents of violet, iris, dried herbs, cassis and intense blackberry with a leafy bramble note. Once again, it is generous in ripe fruits but nicely underplayed, no use giving away everything too soon, and this vintage sees a tad less new French oak in play (8%)."

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
