About the Wine
Racy, lip-smacking Riesling here from the best sections of old Block 2 vineyard, planted in 1975.
Citrus and grapefruit are the fruits to the fore, with some slatey, stony back up.
The natural acidity is softened by some judicious lees contact, creating an intense Riesling experience.
For lovers of Riesling, there's no looking past this textural, refreshing wine.
About Forest Hill
Forest Hill Vineyard has a unique place in the history of Western Australia’s wine industry, being the first cool climate vineyard planted in the state. Following extensive research throughout the South-West, a site was chosen on the property owned by Tony and Betty Pearce and in 1965 a two hectare vineyard was planted.
Fifty years on Forest Hill is owned and run by the Lyons Family. The wines are crafted in their winery in Denmark with the grapes sourced from the old, dry-grown, Forest Hill Vineyard in Mount Barker. The wines reflect the site, the season and the people that nurture them.
