This is a crazy wine with such depth and compact character with blue fruit and shaved graphite (..) Very complex and complete with excellent texture.

About The Wine
Guix Vermell is the flagship wine of the Terroir Sense Fronteres label. 100% Grenache and raised in amphora this is Grand Cru Grenache for Burgundy drinkers. Impressive aromatically it runs the full gamut from violet through cranberry to rust, the palate is complex adding graphite and a chalky saltiness. The wine is fluid and elegant but with inherent power.
Yes, this wine is expensive, achingly so, but, the authenticity, detail, and finesse are so mind-blowingly good that the value offered here is superb. For those who wish to experience all the greatest wines the world has to offer, this needs to be on your bucket list.
About Terroir Sense Fronteres
Dominik Huber has changed the face of Priorat and now he is on a mission to do the same for Montsant. At 800m elevation and with water retaining clay soils Montsant is capable of producing Garnacha (both colours) and Carinena of incredible freshness and finesse and, unlike Priorat, the DO permits a lower ABV so that freshness can be captured in all its glory.
Leading the charge at Terroir Sense Fronteres is Terroir al Limit’s talented Vigneron Tatjana Peceric and her natural flair for the region is apparent. All the wines are whole bunch fermented in concrete, amphorae and stainless steel and infusion over extraction is the norm. Never have the depths of Spain had more nerve, tension, and fluidity, these an extremely satisfying set of wines to explore.
